Opening of our subsidiary CVE España in early 2023
CVE is pursuing its international development in countries that will enable us to deploy our vision as a producer of decentralized energy in short circuits.
Spain is a country with strong growth potential in the strategic PPA and self-consumption segments. In 2022, CVE has acquired three photovoltaic projects in the Aragon region, with a total capacity of 17 MW. Construction of these plants will start in the last quarter of 2023, with commissioning scheduled for 2024.
Our expertise in energy recovery
The Spanish market stands out for its solar potential and innovative dimensions, with the potential to develop merchant models for energy recovery.
As of 2018, CVE has created an Energy division that brings together specialists in energy markets, asset management and energy purchasing and sales. Working closely with the innovation and marketing teams and the country subsidiaries, including Spain, this activity is developing new energy valuation models based on PPAs, guarantees of origin, capacity services, load shedding, etc.
In 2023, CVE España acquired a project portfolio of 30 MWp in the Aragon region, which will be financed and launched into construction within the year. CVE also has almost 40 MWp of projects under development, which will start construction in 2024 and 2025, with the aim of rapidly reaching 200 MWp within 5 years.
